Aligarh Unani Medical College was initially affiliated with CSJMU (Chhatrapati Sahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur) and later associated with Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University Agra from 2015 to 2020. However, as per the directive of the government department, the college is now affiliated with the newly established Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath Ayush University, Gorakhpur, starting from 2021.
